Asphalt station in Vladimirescu
The first PORR asphalt station in Romania.
The AMMANN UNIGLOBE 160-240 asphalt plant, located in Vladimirescu, Arad County, is the first PORR asphalt plant in Romania and has a history of over 15 years.
It has a maximum production capacity of 160 t/h between December 2009 and December 2021, processing over 1,350,000 tonnes of asphalt mixes.
The plant produces different types of asphalt mixtures using quarry/ballast aggregates, Bitumen 50/70, PMB (Modified Bitumen) and limestone filer, namely: MA 8, BA 8, BA 16, BAP16, BAR 16, AB 31.5, BAD 22.4, MAS 16, as well as coloured asphalt (red, green, etc).
The process is fast and efficient, and the order is processed within 24 hours of order submission and payment. Asphalt is delivered in optimal conditions over distances of up to 200 kilometres.

PORR Romania has used the asphalt produced in Vladimirescu in representative projects for the western area, such as: Arad bypass, DN76 Ionesti-Brad rehabilitation, DN76 Pocola - Dusesti rehabilitation, overpass development in Strada Universitatii, Oradea, Urban Regeneration Arad.
Laboratory for construction analyses and tests.
One of the PORR Romania laboratories (ISC Authorisation no. 3796/2022) is located in the asphalt station enclosure, divided into 17 profiles comprising 187 tests.
Main laboratory activities.
- Carrying out geotechnical investigations through specific laboratory and field tests for the technical analysis of the quality of the materials put in place, carrying out static and dynamic verifications at the level of the earthworks;
- Assimilation and implementation of European methods for analysing materials;
- Carrying out tests on materials used in road works;
- Studies and tests for the implementation of new materials and performing road technologies;
- Research for the assimilation and implementation of modern methods of materials analysis and design of asphalt mixtures used in the execution of road surfacing.
