Sibiu Laboratory

Laboratory for construction analyses and tests.

One of PORR Romania's laboratories (ISC Authorisation no. 3796/2022), serving the asphalt plant in Aleșd, is divided into 17 profiles comprising 187 tests.

Main laboratory activities:

• Carrying out geotechnical investigations through specific laboratory and field tests for the technical analysis of the quality of the materials put in place, carrying out static and dynamic checks on the earthworks;
• Assimilation and implementation of European methods for analysing materials;
• Carrying out tests on materials used in road works;
• Studies and tests for the implementation of new materials and performing road technologies;
• Research for the assimilation and implementation of modern methods of materials analysis and design of asphalt mixtures used in the execution of road surfacing.

The laboratory is also authorised for the following profiles:

• VNCEC: Non-destructive testing and in-service behaviour of constructions
